On March 20, 2025, a collaboration meeting was held for the EU-UNICEF Project titled Building Community Resilience and Delivery of Essential Services to Post-Conflict Recovery in Lanao del Sur and Marawi City. The meeting brought together representatives from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, including Provincial DRRM Officer Shaminodin Sambitory and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Princess Elham Sacar, alongside the Integrated Provincial Health Office Chief of Technical/WASH Cluster Head Dr. Amerah Maliha Ati. Also present were UNICEF’s WASH Officer Ms. Daisy Hapay, Nutrition Officer Mr. Pete John Biscarra, and PNMP Officer Mr. Lemuelle Moninio.

Held at the PGAD Conference Room in the Provincial Capitol, the meeting facilitated an open discussion on UNICEF’s ongoing activities in the province, their current status, and strategies for long-term sustainability.

The discussions focused on key programs related to health, nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and initiatives on climate, environment, and resilience.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, strengthening collaborative efforts and laying out concrete plans to advance the goals of the partnership.
