In a heartwarming initiative to support local communities, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through the Office of the Governor, has collaborated with Jamil Sultan, a well-known vlogger in the province, to extend aid to several torils (madrasahs) in the area. This joint effort aims to uplift the living conditions of students and staff in these educational institutions by providing essential supplies to enhance their daily lives.
The initiative involved the distribution of vital resources, including foam mattresses, solar lights, sacks of rice, water tanks, and medicines, to help meet the basic needs of the morits (students) residing in these torils.
The following torils were beneficiaries of this outreach:
1. Darurrijal Litahfidhel Qur’an Kareem in Brgy. Alog, Tubaran, with a total of 50 morits.
2. Madrasah Mohammad Rayyan Litahfidhel Qur’an Al-Kareem in Brgy. Galakal Sundig, Butig, with a total of 65 morits.
3. Darul Khalid Ben Waled Litahfidhel Qur’anil Kareem in Rumayas, Butig, with a total of 35 morits.
The collaboration between the provincial government and Sultan, who has a significant following on social media, has not only raised awareness about the needs of these torils but has also mobilized resources to provide immediate assistance. Sultan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the community, highlighting the importance of solidarity and support in times of need.
The distribution of these essential items is expected to significantly improve the living conditions of the morits, allowing them to focus on their studies and religious education without the burden of inadequate resources.
