Muntinlupa City, Philippines – In a heartfelt initiative led by Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong, Jr. and Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur successfully conducted a Ramadhan/Iftar Drive at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on March 21, 2025.

During the event, a total of 200 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and Muslim personnel at the NBP received Iftar food packs, along with 40 sacks of rice and 20 boxes of dates. This initiative aims to provide support and nourishment to the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadhan.

The Governor and Vice Governor emphasized that this activity reflects the Provincial Government’s commitment to serving its constituents and strengthening essential services, particularly for members of the Muslim communities across the country during this sacred time.

They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr., AFP (Ret), CESE, CCLH, Director General of the Bureau of Corrections, for his unwavering support in making this endeavor possible.
