VISION

Provincial ENRO Lanao del Sur as functional and effective key players in ensuring protection and rehabilitation of the province’s natural resources most especially Lanao Lake and its watershed areas for the benefits primarily of the MARANAOs for their sustained livelihood opportunities that are in harmony with their cultural beliefs and practices.

MISSION

Primarily responsible for the conservation, protection, management, development and proper use of natural resources to ensure equitable sharing of the benefits derived there for the welfare of the present and future generations.

GOALS

1. Develop plans to protect and effectively manage the province’s natural resources
2. Increase awareness of people on the environmental laws
3. Coordinate with other agencies and all levels of government units for resolving environment issues and mobilize people in the province to protect Lake Lanao and its watershed (community People).
4. Gain the support of local people in sustaining what PENRO has started /spearheaded
5. Build more linkages and maintaining existing ones for environmental protection and rehabilitation efforts
6. Increase motivations of people to help protect and preserve Lake Lanao and its watershed areas
7. Make all created bodies functional to provide support in the protection and development of LL and its watershed
8. Spearhead conduct of researches for the assessment of Lake Lanao’s water quality classification and biodiversity status.
9. Build capacities of the PENRO Personnel to implement, monitor and evaluate environmental and projects
10. Promote eco-tourism industries that are in harmony with the Maranao’s culture.
