In a commendable initiative aimed at improving oral health in the community, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Princess Elham Sacar, successfully conducted a free dentures program for 100 beneficiaries today.

The event, held at the Social Hall, featured a message of support from Board Member Abdulhamid Amerbitor, who emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare services for the residents of Lanao del Sur. “This initiative not only addresses immediate dental needs but also promotes overall health and well-being,” Amerbitor stated.

In addition to the denture distribution, the program included an informative lecture on oral health delivered by Dr. Johainee Rakim. Dr. Rakim highlighted the significance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and the necessity of regular dental check-ups to prevent further health complications.

Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the initiative, with many noting the profound impact it would have on their quality of life. “Having dentures will allow me to eat better and smile with confidence again,” shared one beneficiary.

The event also served as a vital platform for raising awareness about oral health issues, encouraging community members to prioritize their dental care. The Provincial Health Office plans to continue such programs in the future, aiming to enhance the overall health and well-being of the Lanao del Sur community.

As the day concluded, the smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries reflected the success of the program and the commitment of the provincial government to improving healthcare access for all.
