PIO and PENRO Lobby Four Strategic Local Policies
Provincial Information Officer Salma Jayne Tamano and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Forester Pili M. Papandayan appeared today before the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Lanao del Sur and the Office of the Provincial Governor to formally lobby four key draft policies covering environmental protection, grassroots communication, and social welfare.
Together with their respective staff, they submitted the proposed policies as part of the Provincial Government’s ongoing commitment to responsive governance and sustainable development. Each draft was accompanied by complete supporting documents, including speaker notes, summary briefs, and previous inter-agency memoranda to guide legislative deliberation.
The lobbying activity signals the administration’s strong intent to institutionalize programs that have already been implemented at the provincial level, while aligning with national laws and BARMM policy directions. The proposed measures promote the welfare of both people and the environment and are anchored in the principles of public accountability, inclusivity, and service efficiency.
The policies, sprouting from the First 100 Days directive of Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, Jr. and part of his priority plans and programs, shall be reviewed by the appropriate committees of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan before further deliberations by the Board Members.
Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong has urged all department heads of the Provincial Capitol to propose policies benefitting the province and its constituents for the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to deliberate and act on.
