The Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), under the leadership of Abraham Rasuman, recently had the privilege of hosting a Benchmarking Activity for graduate students from Jamiatul Philippines Al-Islamia (JPI). This initiative was part of the students’ academic course, aimed at enhancing their understanding of public service operations.

During their visit, the students engaged in a comprehensive exploration of the PGSO, focusing on several key areas including the office’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives. They also examined the organizational structure, facilities and equipment, challenges faced by the office, best practices implemented, and future plans and programs.

The benchmarking activity included an insightful office tour, providing students with a firsthand look at the PGSO’s operations. Additionally, a face-to-face interview and Q&A session with the Division Chief and selected PGSO staff allowed for an in-depth discussion about the intricacies of public service management.

Mr. Rasuman expressed his appreciation for the students’ initiative and enthusiasm for learning about public service. “We commend the students for their dedication and interest in understanding the workings of our office,” he stated. “We hope this experience will inspire them as they pursue their future careers in public service.”

The PGSO looks forward to supporting more educational initiatives that foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing between academic institutions and public service agencies.
