PGLDS spotlights “Pakaradiyaan o Sarimanok”during 66th Araw ng Lanao del Sur celebration

Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur proudly celebrated its 66th founding anniversary today with the rich and vibrant theme “Pakaradiyaan o Sarimanok,” symbolizing the unity, heritage, and resilience of the Meranaw people.

Held at the Gymnasium of the Provincial Capitol, the program officially commenced with inspiring remarks from Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid Adiong, who underscored the importance of unity, progress, and peace in the province. He also paid tribute to the enduring spirit of the Capitol employees and their contributions to provincial development.

“Penalamantan ame skanu langon a empleyado sa Capitol sabap sa di niyo di kapanaguntaman ku galb’k iyo a mapiya para ku ingud tanu a Ranaw. Hindi magagawa ang mga trabaho sa Capitol kung wala kayong mga empleyado,” said VG Adiong.

Throughout the event, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan delivered messages that emphasized the province’s achievements—not only in preserving its rich culture, heritage, and traditions, but also in promoting outstanding public service.

Among those who shared their insights were 1st District Board Members Hon. Cosain R. Capal II, Hon. Ansari U. Gandamra, Hon. Shirali S. Sani and Omar-Ali M. Sharief; 2nd District Board Members Hon. Daongan Amerbitor, Hon. Fahad M. Arimao, Hon. Aldine A. Macarambon, and Hon. Taha P. Macapodi; along with Ex-Officio Members Hon. Abdulrashid M. Balindong, Jr., Hon. Sharieffudin T. Lucman, and Hon. Sheila Gul D. Ganda.

They collectively stressed the importance of sustained cooperation among Capitol officials and employees in achieving inclusive and effective governance.

The celebration also included raffle draws and an interactive Q&A segment aimed at engaging the audience with a lively atmosphere.

As the 66th Araw ng Lanao del Sur comes to a close, the echoes of “Pakaradiyaan o Sarimanok” serve as a powerful reminder of the beauty, strength, and unity of the Meranaw people, soaring like the legendary Sarimanok toward a brighter future.
