In a step towards ensuring a peaceful electoral process, Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr. and Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong, along with the entire Siap party, participated in the Peace Covenant Signing for the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections earlier today.

The event, which took place in Dimaporo Gymnasium in MSU, Marawi City, saw the attendance of various stakeholders, including members of the UBJP, representatives from the Lanao del Sur Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Mindanao State University, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and civil society organizations (CSOs).

Candidates vying for positions in the local were present to sign the covenant, committing to uphold a smooth and peaceful election process scheduled for May 2025. This initiative aims to foster cooperation and harmony among all parties involved, setting a positive tone for the electoral season ahead.
