Today, the Provincial DRRM Office – LANAO DEL SUR, in collaboration with the Office of Civil Defense – BARMM (OCD – BARMM), successfully conducted an Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Training Course for members of the PDRRM Council. The one-day training took place at The Loft Hotel in Iligan City.

The training was designed to enhance the executive-level understanding and application of the ICS framework as part of the province’s disaster preparedness and response initiatives. The course aimed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to support incident response operations, strengthen preparedness, and improve overall disaster management in the region.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions that emphasized real-world scenarios, fostering critical thinking and teamwork among council members. Feedback from attendees underscored the significance of such training in building a resilient community capable of effectively responding to disasters.

The collaboration between PDRRMO and OCD – BARMM represents an important step towards enhancing disaster resilience in LdS, ensuring that council members are better prepared to manage potential emergencies in the future.
