ARMM Leaders Meet for the 2nd REDPB
The Autonomous Regional Government has made it one of their mandates to conduct regular monitoring of agencies’ compliance to transparency seal and good governance conditions to ensure that programs/ projects are implemented and funds are properly utilized for the benefi t of the region’s populace. Recently, the ARMM Government has organized the second regular board meeting for CY 2014 on September 17, 2014 at Sulo Riviera Hotel, Quezon City. It was attended by provincial governors, regional secretaries, congressmen, and other key offi cials whose support and participation have made great impact to this regional advocacy for reforms. Present during the meeting were Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman, RVG Haroun Al-Rashid Lucman, Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal A. Adiong, Jr., REZA Secretary Atty. Halillah Lao, Cabinet Secretary Khal MambuayCampong, and ARMM Executive Secretary Atty. Laisa Alamia-Masuhud among others. Th e Regional Economic and Development Planning Board (REDPB) Meeting particularly gave the aforementioned leaders updates on the current reform accomplishments of the diff erent provinces comprising ARMM. Gov. Adiong for his part, presented in a 15-minute video the eff orts he has made contribute to the attainment of the national goals of reducing poverty in multiple dimensions, creating massive quality employment, including his initiatives for delivering public service that embodies his 7-point agenda, as well as the conditions of good governance and transparency seal. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Governance Initiative for Strategic Action (GISA) Team led by RG Hataman, together with ARMM key offi cials, has been moving around to Regional Line Agencies to assess their performance and resolve agency issues/ concerns especially those needing immediate actions. REDPB is just one of these initiative reforms. Hence, not only is the latter in pursuit for ensuring better and eff ective delivery of services that is felt especially at the local level, and reform towards attaining good governance, it is also in preparation for our region’s transition to a strong and united Bangsamoro.
