In a continuing effort to boost local aquaculture and improve livelihoods, 30 fish farmers in Masiu municipality participated in a training on enhancing fish farm productivity through sustainable and science-based practices held on May 27, 2025, in Barangay Alip Lalabuan, Masiu, Lanao del Sur.

Organized by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist – PLGU Lanao Del Sur, the training aimed to equip local fish farmers with updated knowledge on effective pond management, feeding techniques, water quality monitoring, and disease prevention, emphasizing practical strategies to increase fish yield while promoting environmental responsibility.

Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the training gave them insights into modern aquaculture methods that could help address the challenges they face in their daily operations.

This initiative is part of OPAg’s broader agricultural development program, which includes capacity-building activities and technical assistance for various farming communities across Lanao del Sur.
