In preparation for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s arrival in Marawi City today, key officials from Malacañang paid a courtesy visit to Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr. yesterday, June 22, 2025.

The delegation was led by Assistant Secretary Patricia Anne Magistrado of the Presidential Communications Office. She was joined by Assistant Secretary Ria Danielle Lumapas from the Office of the Special Assistant to the President. They were accompanied by personnel from the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) and members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG), who played crucial roles in ensuring the seamless coordination and security preparations for the President’s visit.

The courtesy visit and dinner served as an opportunity to discuss and finalize the necessary arrangements for the President’s engagement in the province.

Governor Adiong was joined by Provincial Information Officer Salma Jayne A. Tamano, who played a vital role in coordinating preparations for the high-level visit. Also present were other heads of offices of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, including Park Superintendent Maharlanny M. Alonto, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Forester Pili M. Papandayan, and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Shaminoden Sambitory.

The meeting emphasized the strong cooperation between the national government and the provincial government to ensure a smooth and secured visit for President Marcos.
