The PENRO recently concluded the 10-Year Solid Waste Management Writeshop in Lanao del Sur — a vital step in our collective effort to strengthen sustainable waste management practices across the province at M-Bistro Pangao Saduc in Marawi City from April 9-11, 2025.

With the support of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Government, headed by Governor Dr. Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr. and Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong. A 10-year Solid Waste Management Writeshop is being held through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, led by Forester Pili Papandayan.

This writeshop brought together local government units, Civil Society Organizations (such as MARADECA), the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO), and the Provincial Legal Service Office (PLSO) to update and align our 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plans with national standards and local needs. We revisited milestones and addressed challenges.
