The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (PLGU-OPAg), was honored to take part in the 62nd Araw ng Butig held on June 28–30, 2025, at the Dianaton Gymnasium, Bayabao Poblacion, Butig, Lanao del Sur. This initiative, led by the Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center – Lanao del Sur, aimed to extend essential government services to the community, particularly in the areas of agriculture and livelihood support.

The office provided technical consultations on crop production, pest management, fisheries, and conducted capacity-building training to support local farmers and fisherfolk. To further raise public awareness, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed, focusing on crops, fisheries, and livestock. A total of 292 clients were served during these initiatives. Among them, 200 participants received vegetable seeds as a reward for answering agriculture-related questions, while 24 farmers were awarded pesticides for correctly responding to more advanced queries. Additionally, 2 knapsack sprayers were raffled off to lucky farmer-participants, making the activity both educational and rewarding.
