Through the leadership and initiatives of Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, Jr. and Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong, the Provincial Engineer’s Office is implementing the Expansion of a Water System in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, funded by the OCM BARMM, intentionally for barangays outside the Most Affected Areas (MAA). This project is more than just infrastructure—it is a lifeline, ensuring that every household, school, and business will have access to safe and sufficient water, catering to 11,629 households.

The Expansion of Water System Project covers five areas: MSU Zone 1, MSU Zone 2, MSU Zone 3, 12Ib to Pugaan and Guimba areas. These projects are substantially completed, as there are minor deficiency works in MSU Areas, and other remaining works for other areas.

This initiative is not just about delivering water—it is about restoring hope, dignity, and a future where no family has to struggle for this basic necessity.

𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: The scope of work of this project implemented by the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur ends at the Cluster Box. The Marawi City Water District shall be responsible for the distribution of the water system to each household. In order to use the water system, the residents must apply for the use of the water system at the Marawi City Water District.
